Conditions of service

These conditions set out how niegirona.com works and what you may expect of it. By reading these pages or writing to us, you accept them.

A private service, independent of the authorities

NIE Girona is run privately. The Ajuntament de Girona, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Delegación del Gobierno en Cataluña with its Oficina de Extranjería and the Policía Nacional have no part in it, and it never speaks on their behalf. We explain the procedures foreigners meet in Girona and its province, the padró, the TIE card, the green certificate and the NIE among them, and help people get them ready. Every application is decided by the authorities alone.

What our pages are worth

Each page is written with care and checked, on the date of writing, against the official sources it names. Rules, forms and the way offices work do change, though, and a page meant for every reader cannot take your own circumstances into account. Before a step that matters, look at the official source once more or ask us. None of this site is legal or tax advice.

Writing to us

A form or an email is a request for information and binds no one. Should you want our help after that, you will first receive a written description of that help and its cost, and nothing starts until you say yes. If a partner firm would take on your case, you will know before you decide.

Official fees, and results

State fees (the Modelo 790 código 012 is one) are paid to the administration and have nothing to do with the price of our help. Good preparation makes an appointment run more smoothly; it does not decide what the administration concludes. We promise no decision, no appointment date and no deadline.

Links to other sites

Some links lead to official pages, some to partner firms. What appears on those sites, and the terms they set, are their responsibility.

What we cannot answer for

Decisions of the administration, changes to the rules after a page went online, and the number of appointments the booking system releases all lie beyond our control, and beyond our responsibility.
