Every police procedure for foreigners in Girona carries a State fee, the tasa (taxa, in Catalan), paid on one form for all of them, the Modelo 790 código 012. Generate it online, tick your procedure’s heading, pay before the appointment and bring the stamped copy.

Filling it in online

You generate it on the sede, the Policía Nacional’s website for procedures: enter your details, tick the heading for your procedure and print what comes out. Each form covers one procedure for one person, so a family of four prepares four.

The heading to tick

  • A NIE requested on its own: the heading for assigning a NIE at the applicant’s request
  • The green certificate for Europeans: the heading for the registration of EU residents
  • A first TIE or a renewed one: the heading for the card that matches your kind of residence
  • Anything else: the heading that names it, or a question to us before you pay

Paying

Take the printed form to a bank that collects State fees, or pay online by card where the form offers it. Keep the copy the bank stamps, or the online receipt: that is what the officer will ask to see.

  • Name and passport number agree with the EX form
  • The heading agrees with your procedure
  • The bank’s stamp, or the online receipt, is on the copy you carry
  • One form for each person

In Girona

Being a national form, the 790-012 is the same in Girona, Figueres or Lloret de Mar. Only the heading changes with the procedure: one for a NIE on its own, another for the green certificate, others for each kind of card. Take the paid copy to the office named on the confirmation of your cita previa.

How much is the fee?

The amount appears on the form when you generate it, and it can change, so we print none here. The official form is the reference.

I paid under the wrong heading. What now?

Generate and pay a new form under the correct heading. Recovering the money from the first is a different procedure, with its own request.

Does each child need a form?

Yes: each applicant has their own. If you think an exemption applies, read the form itself or ask us before paying.

Is the fee different in Girona?

No. It is a national fee, identical in every province.
