Your data
How we use your data
A message to niegirona.com, whether it arrives through a form or by email, carries personal data. Here is what happens to it.
What the forms collect
We need two things to reply: your name and an email address. The rest is optional: your nationality, a phone number, which procedure interests you, and a message describing your situation. When a form comes in, the server also records when it was sent and the IP address it came from, which helps us keep automated spam out.
Why we use it, and on what basis
First, to reply, beginning with an automatic acknowledgement sent to the address you typed; then, if you wish, to work on your procedure with you. We rely on two legal grounds: the steps you ask for before any contract is made, and our own legitimate interest, which is to protect the forms from misuse. Nothing you send is used for advertising, and nothing is ever sold.
Who else receives it
If the help you want comes from a partner firm, your request is passed to that firm, to be used for that and nothing else. Our web host and the provider that delivers our email work on our instructions, under contracts requiring them to protect it. We hand nothing to public authorities unless you ask us to or the law demands it.
How long it stays with us
When an exchange goes no further, we delete it as soon as it has no use left. When we work on a case together, we keep the case file only for the legal retention period applying to such services, and then delete it.
What you can ask of us
Under the GDPR, you may request at any time a copy of your data, its correction or erasure, a limit on its use or an end to it, or a portable copy. Send your request to riba@niegirona.com; we reply within the deadline set by the GDPR. Unhappy with our answer? The Spanish supervisory authority, the AEPD (aepd.es), takes complaints.
Cookies
The only cookie is a technical one, needed for a form to be submitted safely; none is used for advertising or to follow you around the web.
